About Counselling About Counselling

Counselling provides a safe space to explore what is going on in your life and what changes you might make.

You can
• Resolve old problems
• Make new decisions
• Manage life changes
• Learn new skills
• Build your self-esteem

Issues I have supported people with include: relationship difficulties, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, stress, depression, obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviours, abortion, bereavement and loss, traumatic incidents, coming to terms with a disability, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, sexuality, self-harm and suicidal thoughts and attempt.

Appointments

I see clients face-to-face in Glasgow City Centre.
I also counsel over the phone. For some people this is a more comfortable way to work either initially or all the way through their counselling.
Counselling sessions generally last 50-60 minuntes.
The first session will be an opportunity to discuss what you want from counselling, whether or not to work together and how may sessions you initially want.
The number of sessions varies: some people have one or two sessions, others want to work longer-term – the number of sessions will be reviewed regularly.
